Exclusive Portulacara Afra (Dwarf Jade) Collection - In Partnership with Jack Hoover
Five years ago, when we purchased our 2nd nursery in the heart of Florida, we embarked on a journey to create an extraordinary bonsai farm. One of our first and most cherished acquisitions was a stunning collection of Portulacara Afra (Dwarf Jade) trees. They were thumb thick cuttings at the time.
By 2023, these beautiful trees reached a pinnacle of growth and readiness. However, we wanted to offer something truly exceptional to our valued customers. That's when we reached out to the renowned ceramic artist, Jack Hoover, with a special request: to collaborate with us in creating 29 unique and numbered ceramic pots for our finest Dwarf Jade trees. And he graciously accepted.
We are thrilled to present this exclusive product offering, featuring a Dwarf Jade tree in one of these bespoke ceramic pots, serial #20. Each pot is a masterpiece, and each tree has been carefully styled and potted by Peter Olson, a distinguished NEBG artist. The collection also includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Glen Lord (NEBG Florida Artist who cultivated these trees), Peter Olson, and Jack Hoover himself.
This is more than just a bonsai tree; it is a piece of living art, a testament to our dedication and passion for bonsai. While a few of these exquisite pieces have already found homes through our retail store, we are excited to announce that more will soon be available online, allowing bonsai enthusiasts from all over to experience the beauty and craftsmanship of this collection.

About the Tree:
- This Bonsai is 20.5" tall, measured from the table to the top of tree. The spread is 21"
- It ships in a 13" numbered Jack Hoover pot along with a certificate of authentication.

Important Shipping Guidelines:
- We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
- All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
- Most Shipments of Trees are released on Mondays and Tuesdays only to avoid being held in-transit over weekends.
- If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
*** This is an expensive Bonsai. We've likely been watering, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding this tree for a long time. Once this tree leaves our facility, watering, fertilizing, etc is beyond our control. If you buy this bonsai, we assume you're a responsible person and that you know what you are purchasing. THEREFORE - The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that NEBG makes no warranties once the Product leaves our nursery. All One-Of-A-Kind Trees are listed AND sold “as is”. Sales are considered final.
