Japanese White Pine imported January 2023. Also Known as a Five Needle Pines, JWP is grafted to a Japanese Black Pine under-stock. This tree has been prepped (old needles removed and re-wired), and it is ready for you to further style. It was freshly potted in our Premium soil in January, so you the tree does not need to be repotted for a while.

After the import process, we keep trees at our nursery for a full cycle (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall). This ensure that the trees are healthy and ready for their forever home.

This is a perfect Grafted Japanese White Pine that was hand selected in Japan. The best approach for the first year or two is to let the tree become strongly rooted into the pot. When they come bare rooted, it can take them months or years to settle in (did someone say bonsai is supposed to teach patience?). Please hold off until Spring to work on the tree.
